Artificial Intelligence In Medicine: Taming Complexity with Computational Science to Improve Patient Outcomes.
Artificial Intelligence. Algorithms. Machine Learning. We may have first encountered some of these terms in science fiction, yet AI, including deep learning and other forms of predictive modeling, is quickly becoming a significant part of the world in which we live, especially as our tools become more powerful in an era of Big Data. What does this mean for the healthcare industry? What are the current and anticipated applications, and how will they impact the future of healthcare? In his keynote address, Dr. Sahner will demystify key ideas in this burgeoning field and explain the real-world applications of these advancing technologies, along with their potential to enhance outcomes, save lives and reduce the cost of delivering quality care.
11:15am - 12:30pm - Vendor Negotiations (Breakout Session)
Vendor Negotiation isn't easy - you have all the right data you need from HCIQ for a successful negotiation, but when you are in negotiations vendors push back or question the data. You will gain insight on how to use the data provided by HCIQ to effectively negotiate and handle any vendor pushback.
11:15am - 12:30pm - Advancing Analytics Through The Supply Chain (Breakout Session)
Eliminating data silos, using supply chain, clinical and financial data uniquely positions supply chain to own initiatives that will help organizations thrive in a value-based care environment. In this session attendees will explore the role supply chain can play in projects that have been historically owned by clinicians and perioperative management such as preference card cleanse and standardization initiatives.
12:30pm - 1:30pm - Lunch
1:30pm - 2:30pm - The Future of Supply Chain & Value-Based Care
Now, more than ever, supply chain leaders must realize the change from volume to value-based reimbursement. The challenge is to balance the costs of care with value-based reimbursement scenarios, without increasing provider burden.
In this session, we will demonstrate reporting and analytics that deliver quick insights into the patient encounter entire episode of care. With visibility into the cost to serve, the supply chain is empowered to lead collaborative teams to continuously improve by reducing costs and eliminating waste. The results are better financial outcomes, expense reductions, and ultimately population health.
